I have applied! The last question was weird - there wasn't a good "I don't run a gaming fan site" answer.
There were a few other questions on there I didn't like answering and saw no reason from them to ask, but otherwise, not bad.

Signing up tonight when I get home since I forgot my information again! Probably going to have my brother sign up as well.
My guess is they'll get their nominees picked out hopefully by mid to late January and the first round of testing will begin. I sure hope I get picked for the earliest one.

You know I'm actually contemplating not even playing the beta. I didn't read anything about FF13 before it came out and it's been a fresh experience. I want FF14 to feel that way when I play it.

I want to play it a bit, but like any beta, not much.
I'd probably test a few classes, to, say, Lv10 and that's it. Oh, and try to fall through floors and bug out mobs and the like.  That's about it, though.
One thing I like about FF13 is playing it without any knowledge of the game. I knew some of the character names (Lightning, Snow, Vanille) before starting, but that's mostly it. Avoiding forums and places with potential spoilers has been worth it, IMO.
